Dr. Kate Truitt’s Free Resources Terms of Use
These Free Resources Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply specifically to materials made available on the Free Resources page of drkatetruitt.com (the “Free Resources”). By accessing, downloading, viewing, or using any Free Resources, you agree to these Terms.
Effective Date: January 31, 2026
1) Definitions
“Company,” “we,” “us,” “our” means Dr. Kate Truitt and the affiliated entities operating drkatetruitt.com.
“Free Resources” means the materials that are publicly available on the website’s “Free Resources” page.
“Materials” includes (without limitation) PDFs, worksheets, guides, handouts, graphics, audio/video, scripts, slide content, protocols, frameworks, checklists, written content, and any related materials, whether downloaded or viewed online.
2) Ownership and Intellectual Property
All Free Resources and Materials are owned by the Company and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Access to Free Resources does not transfer ownership to you.
Any Company names, logos, product names, program names, and trademarks displayed on the website are the Company’s property (or the property of their respective owners) and may not be used without written permission.
3) What You May Do (Permitted Use)
The Free Resources are the only materials we consider available for public use without specific written permission, and they may be accessed and shared only in the manner intended for public distribution, including:
Access and view the Free Resources for your personal, informational, or educational use.
Share links to the Free Resources page or to a specific Free Resource where a direct link is provided.
Download a Free Resource where the website provides a download function, solely for your personal use.
Anything beyond the limited permissions above—especially any copying, reposting, adapting, or using the Materials in a training, product, or paid service—requires explicit written authorization from the Company.
4) What You May Not Do (Prohibited Use)
Unless you have explicit written authorization from the Company, you may not:
Copy, reproduce, repost, upload, publish, distribute, or transmit any Free Resource or any part of it (including on websites, blogs, client portals, course platforms, social media, newsletters, shared drives, Dropbox/Google Drive links, or group chats).
Adapt, modify, translate, create derivative works from, repackage, or “template” the Materials (including creating your own branded version of a worksheet, protocol, training, deck, or handout based on the Materials).
Incorporate the Materials into any commercial offering, including (without limitation) a paid product, membership, course, workshop, retreat, certification, training, keynote, consulting package, clinical program, staff training, supervision curriculum, or client-facing product you charge for.
Use the Materials as marketing content (including lead magnets, opt-ins, funnels, or bonuses) if the Materials are copied, reposted, or embedded rather than linked.
Remove copyright, trademark, attribution, or proprietary notices from any Material.
Claim authorship or ownership of the Materials, or represent the Materials as your own work.
Use the Materials to train, fine-tune, benchmark, or improve any AI system or dataset (or to create a competing dataset) without written authorization.
5) Commercial Use Requires Written Permission
For clarity, commercial use includes any use that is connected to revenue, compensation, lead generation, client acquisition, paid services, or a business/organizational offering—even if the Material itself is not separately sold.
If you want to use any Free Resource (or any portion of it) in a commercial context, you must obtain explicit written authorization from the Company before using it.
6) Permission Requests (Licensing)
If you would like permission to copy, repost, adapt, translate, distribute, or use the Materials in a training/product/service, contact us or via email to info@drtruitt.com.
To help us evaluate requests quickly, please include:
The specific Material(s) you want to use
How you plan to use it (format, audience, platform, duration)
Whether your use is paid, monetized, or business-related
Whether you would like to modify, brand, translate, or excerpt the Material and how you plan to do so.
Any permissions granted must be in writing and are subject to additional terms, which may include fees, attribution requirements, limits on scope/duration, and revocation provisions.
7) Third-Party Content
Some Materials may reference or include content owned by third parties. You are responsible for complying with any applicable third-party rights and obtaining any necessary permissions from those owners.
8) No Medical, Psychological, or Legal Advice
The Free Resources are provided for general informational and educational purposes only. They are not medical advice, psychological treatment, diagnosis, crisis care, or legal advice, and they do not create a therapist–client relationship or any other professional relationship with the Company.
If you need professional care or support, please consult a qualified provider in your jurisdiction. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing an emergency, contact local emergency services.
9) No Warranties
The Free Resources are provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
10) Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your access to or use of the Free Resources.
11) Termination and Enforcement
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to Free Resources at any time. If you violate these Terms, your permission to use the Free Resources ends automatically, and you must promptly:
Stop using the Materials, and
Delete/destroy any copies in your possession or control (digital or printed)
We reserve all rights and remedies available under applicable law, including injunctive relief.
13) Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective Date” above reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Free Resources after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14) Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
