From June 20–27, 2026, this intimate, immersive retreat brings you to Blue Spirit in Nosara, where ocean, jungle, spacious accommodations, and a slower rhythm create the kind of setting that allows meaningful clinical work to land deeply.

What Makes This Retreat Worth It

01 / Destination

Blue Spirit sits above the Pacific with access to a protected white-sand beach, and holds a Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice distinction. It is the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave.

02 / Rest

This is a week to step out of the usual pace and settle into a more restorative environment. The setting is not incidental to the work. It is part of what makes the experience feel elevated, nourishing, and memorable.

03 / Learn

What makes this retreat worth the trip is precisely what cannot be replicated in a conventional conference setting. Here, you learn with intention.

Your planning checklist:

  1. Reserve your space. Don’t forget your special Dr. Kate discount code KATE400

  2. Check your passport

  3. Book your flight into Liberia (LIR).

  4. Arrange your Blue Spirit shuttle once reservations open.

The practical side is refreshingly simple .

For most U.S. attendees, Costa Rica travel is straightforward:
you will want a valid passport and proof of return or onward travel.

If you have not checked your passport recently, now is the moment. The U.S. State Department currently lists passport processing at 4 to 6 weeks for routine service and 2 to 3 weeks for expedited service, with mailing time additional, so early planning is the easiest way to keep everything feeling calm and easy.

The recommended arrival airport for this retreat is Liberia International Airport (LIR), also known as Guanacaste Airport. It is a popular gateway to Costa Rica’s Pacific coast and offers transportation services onsite.

From there, Blue Spirit is about three hours away, and Blue Spirit offers a shared Saturday shuttle that fits beautifully with your retreat arrival and departure flow.

That is the heart of it. Blue Spirit notes that shared shuttle reservations typically open about one month before travel and should be booked at least 48 hours in advance. Shared shuttle service is listed at $65 per person plus tax, and private transportation is also available for guests who prefer additional flexibility.

Hope to see you there!
